In the household photovoltaic system, energy storage devices are added to improve the scheduling and control of the system energy and optimize the energy utilization rate of the system. The photovoltaic and energy storage systems, with similar topological structures, are commonly called photovoltaic energy storage complementary systems.
Abstract: Photovoltaic energy storage system meets the ever-growing demand for electricity, while ensuring the stability of power supply. Research of renewable energy-based microgrid system has become a hot topic, especially the study of Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) and energy storage unit control strategies.
Finally, the improved bidirectional LLC resonant converter is applied to the photovoltaic energy storage complementary system. The correctness and feasibility for the bidirectional LLC converter topology under the proposed charging and discharging control strategy of the DC bus are verified by simulation and experimental results. 1. A single-phase, two-stage photovoltaic energy storage complementary system is shown in Figure 1, where the system consists of solar panels, boost converters, bidirectional DC/DC converters, battery packs, inverters, relays, etc. There are two significant features in the system.
In addition, with the proposed strategies, the bidirectional charging/discharging capability of the battery is able to achieve the maximum PV power utilization. All the proposed strategies can be realized by the digital signal processor without adding any additional circuit, component, and communication mechanism.
