During today’s press conference, Ministers of Environment and Energy – Henryk Kowalczyk and Krzysztof Tchórzewski – announced that the call for applications for subsidies for photovoltaic installations in Poland under the “My Electricity” programme is now open.
The main objective of the programme is to increase the production of energy from photovoltaic micro-sources. The subsidy covers up to 50% of the costs of building a photovoltaic installation with the installed power ranging from 2 to 10 kW, up to 5000 PLN.
According to the IEO, at the end of 2021, almost 6 GW of photovoltaic installations may already operate in Poland. In 2022 and 2023 the share of PV farms in the total installed power will be equal to the share of micro-installations.
Achievement of Polish photovoltaics – key data The IEO report „Photovoltaics market in Poland 2023” shows that the year 2022 was very good for the photovoltaic sector in Poland, better even than the record year of 2021. In 2022, photovoltaics was yet again the leader and the main driving power for the increase in RES market in Poland.
The maximum subsidy available for solar without storage is PLN 6,000, increasing to PLN 7,000 for solar micro-installations with storage. Any solar installations connecting to the grid after Aug. 1 must be paired with electric storage facilities and/or heat storage facilities to be eligible. The installations can range from 2 kW to 20 kW in size.
Net-billing prosumers who incurred installation expenses after Jan 1, 2021, are eligible. The maximum subsidy available for solar without storage is PLN 6,000, increasing to PLN 7,000 for solar micro-installations with storage.
