To wire multiple batteries in parallel, connect the negative terminal (-) of one battery to the negative terminal (-) of another, and do the same to the positive terminals (+). For example, you can connect four Renogy 12V 200Ah Core Series LiFePO4 Batteries in parallel. In this system, the system voltage and current are calculated as follows:
The basic concept is that when connecting in parallel, you add the amp hour ratings of the batteries together, but the voltage remains the same. For example: two 6 volt 4.5 Ah batteries wired in parallel are capable of providing 6 volt 9 amp hours (4.5 Ah + 4.5 Ah).
Parallel connection attains higher capacity by adding up the total ampere-hour (Ah). Some packs may consist of a combination of series and parallel connections. Laptop batteries commonly have four 3.6V Li-ion cells in series to achieve a nominal voltage 14.4V and two in parallel to boost the capacity from 2,400mAh to 4,800mAh.
You can connect your batteries in either of the following: Series connection results in voltages adding and amperage remaining the same while parallel connection results in amperages adding and voltages remaining the same. Series-parallel connection results in both voltage and amperage adding.
for secondary (rechargeable) batteries – the stronger battery would charge the weaker one, draining itself and wasting energy. If you connect rechargeable batteries in parallel and one is discharged while the others are charged – the charged batteries will attempt to charge the discharged battery.
The cells are connected in parallel to fulfill higher current capacity requirements if the device needs a higher current, but there is not enough space available for the battery. That device can use the parallel configuration to fit high-current capability in a small space.

When you have to connect multiple packs parallel, you need 1 complete BMS per pack. You can connect the signal relays on each End Board in series. For instance: with 3 packs parallel, you can run the charging signal through from the first End Board Charge relay to the second Charge relay and through the third Charge relay.
How do I install the Smartshunt with parallel batteries?
I have two parallel lifefo4 batteries and the recommendation is to have equal length positive cables to the batteries and separate fuses for each battery. What does this mean for the Vbatt+ connection. Do I choose one of the batteries and connect to its positive terminal, or should I connect it to the busbar joining the batteries after the main fuses? I may start a …

My educated guess is that you are just making a 1S2P pack out of the individual packs. If they are at the same state of charge (voltage), the BMSs should not fight each other unless one of your packs is internally self discharging at a faster rate than the other one.
