The peak temperature of furnace and the time of solar cells in furnace are variables that affect the solar cells sintering. In this paper, we choose three belt speed of sintering furnace: 235, 245, and 255 in/min.
The screen printing and rapid thermal processing [ 5 ], is a key process step in the fabrication of crystalline Si solar cells. In addition, the optical and electrical properties of the solar cells strongly depends upon the quality of the silkscreen, sintering temperature and belt speed, etc.
The so-called “selective sintering” means that the absorbed laser energy can effectively promote the electrical contacts between the TiO 2 nanoparticles, but does not cause damage to the plastic conductive substrate. The choice of the near-infrared (wavelength = 1064 nm) laser source is critical for the effectiveness of the laser sintering.
As an important part of the series resistance, the contact resistance depends on the behavior of the Ag/Si contact interface after the sintering process [ 15, 16 ]. In addition, the junction leakage and shunting characteristics are also heavily affected by the sintering process.
The solar cells that sintered with larger or lesser belt speed of sintering furnace possessed higher series resistances and smaller photoelectric conversion efficiency than those sintered with the best belt speed of sintering furnace.
