The upper and lower curves represent genuine characteristic for a solar cell. The upper curve is actually the addition of the two 1D branches. The entire behavior is guided by the switch branch, with a RC circuit and a switch. Modeling allows confirming the nature of the transition mechanism.
Various researchers, such as Ravishankar, Yan, and Ren, have presented different J – V behaviors in solar cells, including a bump where the current near Voc exceeds the short-circuit current. Hwang attributed the bump to capacitive current resulting from interfacial charge accumulation.
This enabled us to fabricate solar cells with an aperture area exceeding 1 square centimeter, a max. efficiency of 20.5%, and a certified PCE of 19.6%. By contrast, the best certified PCE to date is 15.6% for PSCs of similar size. We demonstrate that the reproducibility of the method is excellent and that the cells show virtually no hysteresis.
The effect of the thickness of the illuminated solar cell on its temp. at the Voc condition is studied, which reveals that, by increasing the thickness from 100 to 300 nm, the solar cell temp. can increase by 20 K. (c) 2019 American Institute of Physics.
The results show that the dissipated power due to the reverse bias (PRB) should be ⪆6 W to have a higher temp. in the shaded solar cell than that in the illuminated solar cell at the solar irradiance of 1000 W/m2, and this result is almost ambient temp. and wind velocity independent.
The investigation of hole transport layer-free mesoporous carbon perovskite solar cells by analyzing current–voltage (J – V) curves under different scan rates, light intensities, and temperatures is presented. A distinctive bump in the curves is identified, previously reported in the literature.
Reevaluation of Photoluminescence Intensity as an Indicator of ...
Under solar cell operation, both nonradiative recombination and extraction of charge carriers from the active layers contribute to the reduction of the PL intensity, subtracting carriers from the radiative recombination process, while having an opposite impact on device performances: nonradiative recombination is detrimental for device efficiency while an …
