Besides, according to the slope of elastic deformation stage in Fig. 3a, b, the elasticity modulus of glass fiber fabric mats is about four times larger than that of commercialized separators. Therefore, the high mechanical property of glass fiber fabrics can totally meet the demands of lithium-ion battery.
Our results show that the glass fiber fabrics can be a successful separator for lithium-ion battery with high safety performance due to its greatly improved thermal stability, high mechanical strength, and matched electrochemical performance.
